What is the Strawberry Sunset Strain?
Strawberry Sunset is a hybrid strain of marijuana with an even balance of indica and sativa.
In terms of the effects it produces on the mind and body, you get the best of both worlds, a bit of a cerebral head high from the sativa side of things and a nice relaxing body high from the indica side.
Strawberry Sunset is a great strain to consider if you like hybrid strains that make you feel happy, euphoric, and giggly while also relaxing and mellowing you out.
It’s also not overly potent, making it ideal for beginners, yet still strong enough for the more experienced cannabis connoisseurs.
Strawberry Sunset Strain Appearance
In terms of appearance, the Strawberry Sunset strain is one of the lighter buds out there. If you take a look at it, you will notice that it is rather fluffy and not too dense. As for the color, it usually comes in at a light or pale green in color, not too dark like some of the other strains out there.
This light green coloration is combined with a few darker spots, with the exterior being lined in large quantities of those orange hairs and white crystals that we all love to see.
It doesn’t look like anything overly special, but it is quite pleasing to the eye if you ask us anyway.
Strawberry Sunset Strain Genetics
As for genetics, the Strawberry Sunset strain is a cross between two other very popular strains, Strawberry Stardawg and Wedding Sunset. Strawberry Stardawg is also a balanced indica and sativa strain (made by crossing Stardawg Hash Plant with Strawberry Diesel).
We then have Wedding Sunset, which is also a hybrid strain, albeit this one is Indica dominant (made by crossing Wedding Cake and Sunset Sherbet).
What many of you will love about the Strawberry Sunset strain is that it has a moderate THC level of between 17% and 19%, which means that it’s not the most potent strain in the world, as there are strains out there that can reach as high as 30%, or sometimes higher.
That said, 19% is still pretty strong, meaning it should be potent enough to make you feel a bit floaty without shooting you to the moon and back. It’s a nice moderate high. Not too strong, not too weak.
As far as the CBD content is concerned, it contains around 1.15%, which is quite negligible. So, while you might slightly feel the CBD side of things, this isn’t it if you are looking for a CBD-heavy strain.
Strawberry Sunset Strain Terpenes
The Strawberry Sunset strain does contain quite a few terpenes, with the dominant ones being limonene, caryophyllene, humulene, sabinene, bisabolol, and pinene.
This strain does also contain some levels of myrcene, valencene, linalool, and terpineol. As for what this means in terms of flavors and aromas, we’ll take a look at that further below.
Strawberry Sunset Strain Effects
As mentioned above, the Strawberry Sunset strain is a balanced sativa and indica strain, providing you with the best effects of both worlds.
From the sativa side of things, you’ll feel giggly, happy, euphoric, and talkative, maybe even a bit tingly. Some people also report feeling more concentrated and focused, although the euphoric and giggly side tends to take over.
As for the indica side of things, Strawberry Sunset may make you feel a bit relaxed, mellow, and slightly heavy. Although not overly common, some people report getting a bit of a couch lock feeling from this strain.
Strawberry Sunset Strain Reported Flavors
With Strawberry Sunset, you can expect a very sweet and fruity berry-like flavor combined with some spice and earthiness and some sour citrus-like notes. Many people report tasting flavors such as lemon, blueberry, pine, diesel, skunk, tree fruit, and apricot.
