710 Day used to be exclusively about hitting vapes and ripping dabs, but not anymore! The world of distillate is vast and customizable, making it easy for your creative stoner mind to run wild. And edibles aren’t just made with decarboxylated weed anymore, either; Did you know you can make super strong and delicious edibles using delta 8 distillate?

Cannabis distillate is a sticky, oil-like substance that is a concentrated form of cannabinoids such as delta 8 and delta 9. Cannabis distillates are created via a process of high heat and extreme pressure which isolates the specific cannabinoid extract from the cannabis plant, creating a concentrated yet flavorless and odorless oil.

Since Martha Stewart is BFFs with Snoop Dogg, we know she’d be down with a delta 8 distillate twist on her famous “To-Die-For Brownies” recipe. Take a break from the summer heat this 710 Day to spend the day baking these gooey delta 8 distillate brownies. (It’s too hot to be outside, anyway!)

4 Large eggs
⅔ C. Delta 8 Distillate
2 C. Sugar
1 ½ C. All-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. Cocoa powder
1 Tsp. Baking powder
½ Tsp. Salt
1 C. Chopped pecans
Martha Louise Stewart’s Chocolate Icing (recipe below)

Note: The amount of delta 8 distillate specified in this recipe is a very loose suggestion; the actual amount you use should be modified based on the strength of your tolerance and how potent you’d want the brownies. The above measurement is for a strong batch.

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Butter a 9” x 13” baking pan; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat eggs on low speed. Add cannaoil and sugar, beating for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add egg mixture, beating just until combined. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake until edges just start to pull away from pan, about 35 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Spread icing over brownies; allow to set before serving.
