What is the Banana OG Strain?

Banana OG weed is a fairly strong indica-dominant strain. This strain is a cross between classic Banana weed and OG Kush, both of which are also extremely popular. Although this is a hybrid strain, the effects you feel will mostly come from the indica side of things.

OrgnKid, a West Coast Breeder, first created the Banana OG strain by crossing two other very popular strains, which are Banana and OG Kush.

This resulted in an extremely indica-dominant hybrid strain. Technically speaking, Banana OG is 60% indica and 40% sativa, although the effects you will feel from smoking or vaping it are nearly all from the indica side of things.

As for the parent plans, OG Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid that features anywhere between 18% and 22% THC. This is a mix between Lemon Thai, Hindu Kush, and Chemdawg. 

We then have Banana, otherwise known as Bananas. This is an indica-dominant strain that can contain anywhere between 17% and 21% THC. 

THC/CBD Content

Banana OG can contain anywhere between 18% and 24% THC. It is fairly strong, and even on the lower end of the spectrum, 18% is nothing to look down your nose at. For this reason, it is recommended that beginner smokers go easy on the Banana OG, as it can hit fairly hard.

You also need to keep in mind that this is a creeper, so you’re not going to feel the high until around 5 to 15 minutes after smoking it, which can be dangerous for beginners, because it’s easy to over consume it.
